What slows down a computers performance and how can I speed it up?
I have a Compaq laptop that use to be fairly fast when I first purchased it but it's SLOW as molasses now. My son plays on it and sometimes I notice there are programs running instantly when I turn the computer on. How can I speed it up? I'm going to try and clean some stuff off the computer but would adding more memory or a larger hard drive help?
I got the computer just to use at home for normal stuff but now I'm starting a business and need to have a faster, more efficient computer and I don't really want to buy a new one. Any suggestions to help me would be greatly appreciated.
